Anne Ward
(née McManus)

Anne Ward (née McManus) of Ardmore Park, Bray, Co. Wicklow and late of Portaferry, Co. Down. Passed away peacefully on 11th November at her home, in the loving care of her daughter Jacqueline and her grandson Luke.

Beloved wife of the late Séan, and daughter of the late Teresa and Thomas (Tommy). Predeceased by her brothers Thomas and Patrick, and her nephew Tommy McManus. Loving mother of Stephen, Paul and Jacqueline, dear sister of Josephine and Raymond, cherished nana of Liam and Luke, and mother-in-law of Heide. Anne will be fondly remembered by all her family, nieces, nephews (at home and abroad), sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Anne’s family wish to extend their heartfelt thanks to Inis Care Services and the staff of Bray Primary Care Centre. Their deepest gratitude goes especially to Leah, whose kindness, compassion and devoted care brought Anne great comfort in recent months.

Anne will repose at Thomas Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, Boghall Road, Bray (A98 R673) on Thursday, 13th November, from 1.30pm to 3.00pm. Removal on Friday morning, 14th November, at 11.30am to her sister-in-law Sally’s residence, Rockfield Park, Portaferry, Co. Down, for further reposing. Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, 15th November, at 2pm in St. Patrick’s Church, Ballyphilip, Portaferry, followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard.
