The death has occurred of
Annie SWEENEY
(née Paute)
Formerly a member of the Ballet Company of the Theatre Du Chatelet, Paris and more recently co-author of the Sweeney Guide to the Irish Turf. Following a lengthy illness, borne with great fortitude, Annie died suddenly at her home on December 1st, and is survived by her grieving husband Tony and only son Nicholas, by members of an extended family in France and Ireland and by a wide circle of friends representing many nationalities.
Because of the hazardous nature of the roads the family would wish that those living outside the greater Dublin area and indeed in some instances inside it would refrain from travelling to her Funeral in the Church of the Assumption, Dalkey but instead bear her in their thoughts and prayers. Annie’s death is sorrow enough.
Removal tomorrow, Friday, from Quinn’s of Glasthule to the Church of the Assumption, Dalkey, arriving at 5pm. The Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday at 11.30am, followed by a private Cremation at Mount Jerome Crematorium. Family flowers only, please. Donations, if desired, to your favourite charity, would be much appreciated. Limoges and French papers please copy.
