Anthony (Jap) Claffey; Mount Carmel Drive, and late of Lake Road, Moate, Co Westmeath, December 1st, 2025. Peacefully, in the loving care of the oncology and ICU Team at University Hospital Galway, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his sister-in-law Sammy, all deceased members of Anthony’s family.
With heavy hearts Anthony (Jap) will be sadly missed and deeply regretted by his heartbroken parents Pat and Nancy, wife Deirdre, loving daughters Roisin, Aoife and Caoimhe, stepdaughter Chloe, step granddaughter Sadie, devoted siblings Charlie, Beatrice and Patrina (Tine), Terry and David, brothers-in-law Dessie, Ronan, Dermot, Seamus, Victor and Derek, sisters-in-law Sinead and Emma, nephews Andrew, William (Godchild), Owen, Senan and Culann, nieces Megann, Seafra and Hannah, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, father-in-law Pat, mother-in-law Eilish, his lifelong friend Martin and many friends.
May Anthony’s Gentle Soul Rest in Everlasting Peace.
Reposing at Flynns Funeral Home Moate this Thursday(4th) from 5pm to 7pm. Removal to the Carmelite Church, Moate on Friday (5th) arriving at 11.50am for Funeral Prayers. Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Donegan Cemetery, Mount Temple.
House Strictly Private please.
