Anthony Rooney

Anthony Rooney, Cherrymount, Drogheda, Co. Louth and formerly of Moran’s Terrace. 27th November 2025. Peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family in his 86th year following a short illness. Beloved husband of Mary and loving Dad to Dermot, Yvonne, Denise, Christine and Stephen. Anthony will be sadly missed by his wife, daughters, sons, sons-in-law Mark and Mustafa, grandchildren Ethan, Abbie, Emmet and Andreas, sisters Philomena and Ann, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Reposing in Townley’s Funeral Home, Crosslanes, Drogheda (A92 XN75) on Sunday evening from 5pm until 7pm. Funeral Mass will take place at 12 noon on Monday in The Holy Family Church, Ballsgrove. Burial will take place afterwards in Calvary Cemetery.
