Anthony (Tony) Heavin

Arcadia, Athlone, Westmeath / Athlone, Offaly

Peacefully on Monday 16th February 2026,

surrounded by his loving family,

after a long illness bravely borne,

in the tender care of the nurses and staff of South Westmeath Hospice.

Arcadia, Athlone, Co. Westmeath

and formerly of Castledaly.

(Retired ESB).

Predeceased by his parents Mary and Michael and his brothers P.J., Johnny and Oliver. Sadly missed by his loving wife Carmel (née Smith), son Colm, daughters Caroline and Siobhán (Dell), brother Georgie and Paddy, sisters Mary (Doyle) and Elizabeth (McCormack), son-in-law Alan, grandchildren Abigail, Liam, Sakura and Willow, in-laws, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends and the Athlone GAA community.

 

May He Rest In Peace.

 

Reposing at Flynn's Funeral Home, The Strand on Wednesday evening from 6pm until 8pm. Requiem Mass in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Coosan on Thursday at 12 noon followed by burial afterwards in Coosan Cemetery.

 

House private please.

Family flowers only please, donations if desired in lieu to South Westmeath Hospice.
