Anthony (Tony) McDonnell

Formerly of Ballina, Mayo.

Tony passed away peacefully on 23rd. September, 2021  at University Hospital Galway surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents Anne and Alex and his brothers Alexander and Frank.

Deeply mourned and sadly missed by his beloved wife and best friend Sheila, son Neil, daughter Áine, daughter in-law Jennifer, son-in-law Shai, grandchildren Joshua, Noah, Hayley, Evelyn, Harper, Bowie and Daniel, sister Mary, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Tony at 11.00 a.m. on Tuesday 28th September at the Church of St. Oliver Plunkett, Renmore  and following Mass Tony will be laid to rest in Rinville Cemetery, Oranmore.

While the size of the congregation will continue to be curtailed  by Covid-19 regulations, and will take place in accordance with current guidelines it will be possible to participate in the liturgy on the Parish Webcam

Tony’s family would like to express their most sincere thanks to the staff at University Hospital Galway, to all of their extended family, neighbours and friends, for their kindness, sympathy and support at this sad time.
