The death has occurred of
Arthur Somers
Arthur Somers Laurel Avenue, Loughboy, Kilkenny City and formerly of Newhouse, Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny, died peacefully surrounded by his devoted wife and family in the excellent care of all the staff in The Suir Ward, St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny City, on Friday 6th October 2023. Arthur will be forever missed by his heartbroken wife Kitty (nee Culleton), his daughters Olga, Catherine, sons James and Tony, his grandson Brian and all his grandchildren. Deeply regretted by his son-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews, extended family and a wide circle of friends.
MAY ARTHUR REST IN PEACE
Reposing in Shasby’s Funeral Home, Kilkenny City (R95 FHIF) on Monday, 9th of October, from 5pm to 6.30pm with rosary and vigil prayers at 6pm. Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday (10th) at 2pm in St. Fiacre’s Church, Loughboy, followed by burial in Foulkstown Cemetery.
