Audrey Downes

Downes, Audrey, (Glenmaroon, Dublin and formerly of Artane, Dublin) May 10th, 2025. Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family in the excellent care of the staff at Connolly Hospital. Beloved daughter of Frances and dear sister of Berni, Lorraine, Lawrence, Donna, John, Anthony and sister-in-law Wendy. Predeceased by her father Lawrence and her aunt Betty Jago. Sadly missed by her loving mother, sisters, brothers, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Audrey will be especially missed by all her friends and staff that crossed her path throughout the years in Oak’s bungalow and the wider St Louise’s Centre Community. The family would like to thank all the staff for the care and love shown to Audrey during her time with them.

Reposing at her residence, Oaks Bungalow, St. Louise’s Centre on Wednesday evening (May 14th) between 5 pm and 7 pm. Removal on Thursday morning (May 15th) to the Church of Our Lady Mother of the Church, Castleknock arriving for Funeral Mass at 11 o’clock followed by cremation in Glasnevin Cemetery. Audrey's family and friends have requested that people wear nice bright clothes to the funeral to best represent her bright personality.
