Augustine (Gus) Mathews, Matthews Lane, Drogheda, Co. Louth and late of Cruicetown, Clogherhead. 14th January 2026. Peacefully in Moorehall Lodge surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his beloved wife Ann and siblings John, Ben and May. Gus will be very sadly missed by his brother Tom, sister Rita, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, neighbours and friends.

May Gus Rest in Peace.

Reposing in Townley’s Funeral Home, Crosslanes, Drogheda (A92 XN75) on Friday evening from 4pm until 6:30pm. Funeral Mass on Sunday afternoon at 1:30pm in Our Lady of Lourdes Church which can be viewed live on www.saintpetersdrogheda.ie Burial afterwards in St Peter’s Cemetery.
