The death has occurred of
Austin Barrett
Barrett (Laurelwood House, Farnanes, Co. Cork. and formerly of Skibbereen).
On April 3rd 2026, peacefully at Cork University Hospital Austin (Retired member of An Garda Síochána), beloved husband of Breda (née Lee) and loving father of Niall, Deirdre, Helen and Patrick and brother of Phyllis and the late Liam, Pat and Beatty. Sadly missed by his loving wife and family, daughters-in-law Anna and Catriona, grandchildren Rachel, Emma, Sarah, Lillian and Emily, sister-in-law Mary, brothers-in-law, nieces, colleagues of An Garda Síochána, relatives and many friends.
Rest in Peace.
Lying in repose at Crowley’s Funeral Home, Ballincollig on Sunday (5th) from 5pm to 6pm for visitation followed by prayers. Requiem Mass on Monday (6th) at 12noon in the Church of St John the Baptist, Ovens which can be viewed on https://www.churchservices.tv/ovens. Funeral afterwards to the adjoining Cemetery.
