Austin Purdy

Austin Purdy (Smithfield, Dublin 7, formerly of Crumlin, Dublin 12 and ESB Networks) passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family. He will be sadly missed by his heartbroken wife Violet, his loving daughter Edel and her daughters Lauren & Georgia, son Declan, grandchildren Ben and Sienna, great-grandchildren Harry, Louie and Gia, partners, nieces, nephews, extended family and a very wide circle of friends, neighbours & former colleagues at ESB Networks.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the palliative care team from St Francis Hospice, the care team from Comfort Keepers, the staff at Market Pharmacy, Public Health Nurse, Katie and in particular all his family & friends who supported us and our adored Austin over the last sixteen months.

Reposing at Bourke’s Funeral Home, 71 Queen Street, Dublin 7 from 2pm to 4pm Sunday afternoon. Austin’s Funeral Mass will take place on Monday morning at 10am in St. Michan’s Church, Halston Street followed by a committal service at Mount Jerome Crematorium.
