In the early hours of Thursday, March 13, 2025, Barbara died very peacefully in the comfort of her own home with her children Annette, Alan, Michelle, John, Paul, Mary and Barbara by her side. Beloved wife of the late Seán (John Stephen). Predeceased also by her sister, Mary Bohan.
Deeply loved and mourned by her children and cherished grandchildren Tom, Anthony and Robert, Jessica, James, George and Charlie, Sorcha and Meadhbh, Grace, Ben, Daniel and Niamh, John, Joseph and Elizabeth, Rebecca, Patrick and Catherine. sons-in-law Seamus Hill, Richard Patten, Declan Lee and Ben Robinson, daughters-in-law Paula, Emer and Teresa, sister-in-law Kathleen Hansbury, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
“Going Home”
May He support us all day long, till the shades lengthen and the evening comes,
and the busy world is hushed, and the fever of life is over, and our work is done.
Then in His mercy may He give us a safe lodging,
and a holy rest and peace at the last.
Funeral Arrangements;
Sunday, March 16, 2025- Reposing at ‘St. Pio’s Room’ within the Church of the Sacred Heart, Seamus Quirke Road from 6 p.m. Removal into the Church at 7 p.m.
St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, 2025. Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Barbara at 8.30 a.m. and following Mass she will be laid to rest with her beloved Seán close to her home in Rahoon cemetery.
