Barney Dunne

Peacefully surrounded by his loving family in his 96th year in the exceptional care of the staff of Oakdale Nursing Home Portarlington. Retired employee of Bord na Móna, Croghan Briquette Factory. Barney will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving wife Lily, his children Paul, Majella, Patricia, Mary and Emer, sons-in-law Mike, Garry, Andy and Mark, Paul's partner Madeline, adored grandchildren Shannon, Sarah, Eoin, Katie, Roisin, Cillian, Fionn, Aoife and Sinead. Barney will be sadly missed by his brothers Seamus and Patsy (Bergin), sisters, Maureen, Betty and Nuala, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at Maher's Chapel of Rest, Portarlington on Friday evening from 7pm with Rosary at 9pm. Removal from his residence on Saturday morning arriving Church of the Immaculate Conception, Walsh Island for Requiem Mass at 11am. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
