Barrie Phelan

Phelan, Barrie (late of Sandymount and Rathfarnham) 12th September 2025 (peacefully) surrounded by his loving family in the kind care of St. James’ Hospital. Beloved husband of the late Anne and dear father of Denise and John. Very sadly missed by his daughter-in-law Martina, his son-in-law John, grandchildren Niamh and Aoife. Deeply missed by his neighbours, friends and former colleagues in Oxfam Books, where he spent many happy years as a volunteer, former Friend of the National Concert Hall and a special thanks to the Orwell Private, Bluebird Care and Meals on Wheels.

Reposing in Fanagans Funeral Home, Willbrook Road, Rathfarnham on Wednesday (17th September 2025) from 5.00pm to 7.00pm. Removal Thursday morning to the Church of the Three Patrons, Rathgar to arrive for a Funeral Mass at 10.00am followed by Cremation at Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross.
