GUTHRIE, Barry (Celbridge, Co. Kildare and formerly of Castlebar, Co. Mayo) January 19th, 2026, peacefully, surrounded by his family and in the wonderful care of the staff at St. Claire’s Ward, Beaumont Hospital. Beloved husband of Liz, dear father of Aaron and Stephen and adored grandfather of Amy, Michael and Caoimhe. Predeceased by his parents Mickey and Marie. Sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, grandchildren, Aaron’s partner Hannah, Stephen’s partner Éilís, brothers Kieran and Cory, sisters Pamela and Sandra, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and his wide circle of friends and work colleagues.

Reposing at Cunningham’s Funeral Home, Celbridge on Thursday evening (22nd January) from 5pm to 7pm. House strictly private please. A Funeral Prayer Service to celebrate Barry’s life will take place in Cunninghams Funeral Home, Celbridge on Friday morning at 10.30am followed by burial in Donacomper Cemetery, Celbridge. Family flowers only, please. Donations, if desired, to The Irish Cancer Society.
