Clare and Harborne, Birmingham; peacefully at his home; predeceased by his granddaughter Nollaig Hope; deeply mourned by his loving wife Eileen (nee McBride, Middletown, Derrybeg), sons Bryan and Michael, daughter Marian, grandchildren Róisín, Aoibheann, Aisling, Niamh, Orla, Josh and Kate, brother Moss (Uk), sisters Sally (Uk) and Eileen (Kilkee, Co. Clare), son-in-law Geoff, daughters-in-law Mary and Elaine, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Barry will repose at his home on Sunday from 3pm until 5.30pm. House private thereafter, please. Mass of the Resurrection in St. Nathy’s Cathedral on Monday at 2pm. Interment on Tuesday at 2pm in Magheragallion Cemetery, Derrybeg, Gweedore, Co. Donegal. Family flowers only, please. Donations, if desired, to the Mayo/Roscommon Hospice Foundation c/o Sharkey Funeral Directors, Ballaghaderreen.
