The death has occurred of
Basil Redmond
Redmond, Knockenrahan, Arklow, Co. Wicklow and formerly of Fade Street, Dublin, 5th May 2025, peacefully at Wicklow Hospice, in the loving care of the staff and his family. Basil beloved husband of Moira (née McFarlane), loving father of Catriona, Báirbre and Eileen, cherished grandad of Orla and David, dearest brother of Áine and the late David, Denise, Fergus and Bernadette. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, daughters, sister, grandchildren, great grandchildren Aoibhín, Saoirse, T.J., Niamh and Maeve, sons-in-law Peter, Bertie and Darragh, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.
May Basil Rest in Peace.
Basil will be reposing at Hudson’s Funeral Home, Arklow (Y14 PT80) on Wednesday from 3pm to 5pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday morning at 10am in The Church of Saints Mary & Peter, Arklow followed by cremation service at 1pm in The Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross, Dublin (D6W HY98).
