Benny, (Horse) Connolly

The death has occurred of Benny (Horse) Connolly, Nahill, Smithborough, Co. Monaghan, Saturday 6th December 2025, peacefully in Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

 

Predeceased by his parents Frank and Jane, sister Sarah, and brothers Ownie, Tommy and Johnny

 

Cherished and much-loved father of Nigel (Fiona), Simon, Gareth (Majella), Wayne (Sandra) and Wendy (Stephen). Benny will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his wife Joan, sons, daughter and their partners, adored and much loved grandchildren, Tracey, Dean, Megan, Caoimhe, Shannon, Cillian and Millie and his great-grandchildren Daíthi, Réalta and Ryan, his sister Aggie, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, many friends and by all who knew and loved Benny.

Benny will repose at the Martin's Family Room, Newbliss, H18C962 on Monday evening (8th) from 4pm to 8pm.

Benny’s Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday (9th) in St Mary's Church, Threemilehouse at 11am, followed by cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.
