The death has occurred of Bernadette (Bernie) Hughes, Blackheath, Greenwich, London and originally Shanco, Newbliss, Co.Monaghan, Wednesday 29th October 2025 peacefully at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Greenwich surrounded by her devoted family.
Predeceased by her brothers and sisters John, Pat, infant Hugh, Maureen, Annie, Betty and Teddy and sister in law Ree Murphy, Monaghan.
Beloved wife of Packie Hughes (Emyvale) and beloved Mother of Marie (Ray), Deirdre, Patricia (Mark), Edward, Paul (Kim) and Ciaran. Nan to twelve beautiful grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one to be. She is reunited in heaven with her grandson, baby Jack now 25 years old. Beloved sister of Eileen Mulligan (Clones), Agnes Cremmins (Castleisland, Co.Kerry), Arthur (Dublin), Frank (Birmingham), Vincent (Sussex) and Michael (Luton), sister in law to Bridget Corrigan (Monaghan), nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives and friends.
Bernadette's Requiem Mass will take place at St.Thomas More and St.Fisher Church, Arbroath Road, London, SE9 8RR on Thursday 20th November at 1pm.
Forever in our hearts. May Bernie rest in the gentle arms of Jesus and Our Lady.
