On 13th October, 2025 unexpectedly but peacefully in the presence of her loving family and in the tender care of the staff of St. Catherine’s Ward, Mercy University Hospital, Cork, Bernadette (Bernie), predeceased by her parent’s Jackie and Betty. Bernie will be sadly missed by her beloved brother Tommie, sisters Catherine Bowden (Glanworth), Helena Norris (Mitchelstown) and Liz O’Driscoll (Ballyhooly), brothers in law John, Pat and Sean, nephews Patrick, Patrick (N), David and Jack, nieces Liza, Maria, Fiona and Emer, grandnephews, grandniece , cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Jesus I trust in You

Reposing at O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Kilbehenny (Eircode P67 PK74) on Thursday 16th October from 5pm to 7pm followed by removal to St. Joseph’s Church, Kilbehenny. Requiem Mass on Friday 17th October at 11.30 am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Mass will be live streamed on http://www.churchcamlive.ie/KilbehennyAnglesborough

Bernie’s family wish to acknowledge the exceptional care she received from Dr. Declan Herlihy and the staff at the Living Health Centre, Mitchelstown, Mary Lucey diabetic nurse, Doody’s pharmacy, Dr Derek Power and the medical team at the Mercy University Hospital along with Fr. Pat and the pastoral team at the hospital and Bernie’s many friends.
