Bernadette Carney
(née Flanagan)

The death has occurred, in her 72nd year, of Bernadette Carney (née Flanagan), Lower Main Street, Dunleer, peacefully after a short illness, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Bernadette, beloved wife of Gerry and loving mother of Stephen and Geffrey. Predeceased by her brothers Tom, Oliver, Denis and Patrick, sisters Kathleen, Breda, Mary, Peggy and Nancy. Sadly missed by her husband, sons, daughter-in-law Bronagh, grandchildren Lily-Rose, Conor and Alanna, brother Joey, sister Gretta, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Rest in Peace

A private family funeral for Bernadette will take place due to Government advice on public gatherings. Removal from her son and daughter-in-law Stephen and Bronagh's home, Riverstown, Monasterboice on Thursday morning at 10.15am to Saint Brigid's Church, Dunleer arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am, which can be viewed live at https://dunleerparish.ie. Burial afterwards in Mosstown Cemetery.

There will be an opportunity for the community to support the family and remember Bernadette by being present, socially distanced, on the route to the church and the cemetery via her home.
