Bernadette McCarthy
(née McCafferty)
Bernadette McCarthy (née McCafferty) of Sligo, Santry and Bettystown passed away peacefully on July 7, 2025 surrounded by her devoted family, under the compassionate care of the staff at AnovoCare Nursing Home, Swords. Loving wife of the late Michael, wonderful mother and mother-in-law to Eva, Alice, Michael, Bernadette, David (predeceased), Alf, Jacqueline, and Toni. Active member of the Sacred Heart Parish, Laytown and founder of the East Meath Active Retirement Association (EMARA). Sadly missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at F Watson & Son Funeral Directors, Dyer St, Drogheda (A92 W7EP) on Wednesday evening (July 9th) from 5.30pm until 7.30pm
Funeral Mass on Thursday morning in the Sacred Heart Church, Laytown, at 11am. Burial afterwards in Reilig Mhuire, Piltown. No flowers please. Donations, in lieu, to a charity of your choice.
