The death has occurred of Bernadette Ward, (née Clerkin), St Anne’s Nursing Home, Ballybay and formerly Cabra, Tullynahinera, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan. Friday March 12th, peacefully at Cavan General Hospital surrounded by her family. Predeceased by her loving husband Packie, brother’s Pat, Fr Sean and Fr Eugene OMI. Deeply regretted and remembered with love by her family Sr Mary SSL, Fr. Matthew OFM Cap., Bríd (Donnelly) and Seamus, sadly missed by the Clerkin and Ward families, her nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Bernadette’s funeral cortège will travel from Wards Funeral Home Ballybay on Sunday morning at 10am to arrive at Our Lady Of Knock Church Ballintra, (via Tossey Cross, Drumlane Cross and Cabra Cross, stopping briefly at her late home in Cabra) for funeral mass at 11am, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Due to Level 5 restrictions on numbers at funeral ceremonies, Bernadette’s funeral Mass will be celebrated in the presence of her family (limited to 10). House private, please.
