Bernard (Bernie) Nelligan , 14 Parkmore Estate, Currow, Killarney Co. Kerry and late of Gortshanafa, Currow. Peacefully on January 13th 2026 ,in the presence of his loving wife and family, after a long illness bravely borne, under the excellent care of the Palliative Care Team at University Hospital Kerry. Sadly missed by his devoted wife Jackie, his adored family, Seamus, David and Nora, son-in-law Steve, David's partner Siobhán, Seamus's partner Bashar, his dearly loved three grandchildren Tadgh, Mia and Theo, his brothers Den Joe, Patrick, Michael and Connie, his sister Noreen, brother-in-law. sisters-in-law. nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and many friends especially his two beloved dogs Hunter and Bailey . Predeceased by his loving mother Nora Mai, father James, brothers James, Thomas and his adored brother Paul who died also this past week (Jan 9th), and his sisters Julie and Hannah Mai.

Reposing at Tangney's Funeral Home Church Street Castleisland on Thursday evening (Jan 15th) from 5pm to 7pm. Removal from the funeral home on Friday (Jan 16th) at 12.15am arriving to the Church of the Immaculate Conception Currow for Requiem Mass at 1pm followed by Cremation at 5pm at the Island Crematorium Ringaskiddy Cork . The Mass will be livestreamed on www.churchservices.tv/coticcurrow
