Bernard Lynch

Bernard Lynch, Fairway Heights and Strand Road, Tralee, Co. Kerry, passed away peacefully on 9th April 2026, surrounded by his family, in the tender and compassionate care of the staff at The Mater Hospital, Dublin, after a short illness, bravely borne with unwavering courage and strength.

 

Much loved and cherished husband of Marina, and adored, devoted father of Erin.

 

Bernard is the son of the late Joe and Hannah Lynch (Hannah passed away 13th June 2025), and son-in-law of the late Maureen Burke.

 

Bernard is sadly missed by his loving family, his sisters Vera, Helen, Moira, Monica, and Assumpta, brothers Michael and John, sister-in-law Carmel, brothers-in-law Mick, Billy, John and Raymond, his brother’s partners Imelda and Danielle, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

 

A wonderful father, husband and friend, Bernard left an indelible mark on our hearts and in our lives. His life was defined by his selfless love for his family, his tireless dedication to work and his generous spirit.

 

If love alone could have saved you,

you never would have died.

Bernard will repose at the Gleasure Funeral Home, Tralee, on Thursday (16th April) from 6.30 to 8.30 p.m. Funeral arriving to St. John’s Church, Tralee on Friday (17th) where the Requiem Mass for Bernard will be celebrated at 2 p.m. (streamed on www.stjohns.ie). Interment afterwards in Rath Cemetery.
