Bernard (Timothy Bernard) Murphy

Blackrock, Dublin / Montenotte, Cork

MURPHY, Bernard (Timothy Bernard), Blackrock, Co. Dublin (formerly of Montenotte, Co. Cork). Following a sudden decline, having braved his long-term illness with immense strength and determination, Bernard passed away surrounded by the love of Dara, Ciara, Tadhg and Anna, with the support of the respiratory team at Connolly Hospital.

 

Beloved husband and best friend to Ann, loving father and friend to Dara, Ciara, Tadhg and Anna. Cherished father-in-law to Simon, Aisling and Anna. Adoring grandad to Sophie, Naoise, Ellie, Lily, Luca, Jack, Annie, Rian and George. Loving brother and friend to Clare, Patsy and Marie, predeceased by Angela and Eileen.

 

He will be deeply missed as a wonderful brother-in-law and friend of the Lombard siblings, and the extended Murphy family, his many nieces and nephews, godchildren, as well as his precious choir pals, kind neighbours, former work colleagues and friends, and in particular the community and team in St John's Nursing Home.

Bernard will repose at his home on Monday 2nd December from 5pm until 7pm. A Celebration of Bernard’s life will take place on Tuesday 3rd December at 10am in the Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome.
