The death has occurred of Bernie Beglan (nee Fitzsimons), Ballynacroghy, Ballynacargy, Co. Westmeath on 18th July 2024.

 

It is with broken hearts the Beglan Family announces the passing of their beautiful wife and mother, Bernie who passed away peacefully after a short illness borne with extreme bravery, courage and dignity, surrounded by her loving family in the tender care of the exceptional staff of the Ciúin Suite in the Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar.

 

Darling wife and best friend of Pat, adored mother of Anita,(Connell), Mark and Bronagh, adored Nana of Mia and Cara. Predeceased by her parents Sean and Nan.

 

Bernie will be forever loved and missed by her heartbroken and loving husband, children and grandchildren, sons-in-law Michael and Micky, her beloved sisters and brothers, Helena, Michael, Marie, Shane, Anne and Olive, sisters in law, brothers in law, aunts, uncle, adored nephews and nieces, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of life long friends.

 

Special thanks to the remarkable staff of St. John’s Ward, in St. James’s Hospital for their excellent care, support and kindness during Bernie’s brief illness and to Dr. Siobhan in Mullingar Medical Centre.

Reposing at her residence (N91 Y627) Friday, 19th July, from 4pm-8pm. Funeral mass in St Michael the Archangel Church, Sonna at 11am Saturday. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House private Saturday morning.
