Betty (Elizabeth) Dunbar (née Kenny) (Wedgewood, Dublin 16 and formerly of Bray, Co. Wicklow) - February 17th, 2026. Passed peacefully surrounded by her family and in the compassionate care of Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross. Beloved wife of the late Liam and much-loved mother of Anne, Paul, Declan, Susan, Robert and Theresa.


Betty will be deeply missed and remembered by her loving family, grandchildren Emily, Shauna, Amy, Kristina, Cillian, Cliodhna, Eve, Dylan, Izzy and Billy, great-grandchildren Alice, Matthew, Brielle, Liam, Layton, Maddy, Sydney and Beau, brothers-in-law Kevin and Tom, sons-in-law Richie, Ger and Peter, daughters-in-law Trish, Gemma and Jacinta, nephews, nieces, relatives, extended family, neighbours and friends.

 

May she Rest in Peace

 

Betty will repose at JP Ward & Sons Funeral Home, Sandyford Village (D18C8P7) on Friday evening (Feb 20th) from 5pm to 7pm. Removal on Saturday morning (Feb 21st) to the Church of the Ascension of the Lord, Balally arriving for 11.30am Mass, followed by burial in Shanganagh Cemetery. Betty’s family would like to take this opportunity to thank the nurses and staff of Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross for the compassionate and exceptional care they showed to Betty and her family during their time with them and for making her their “Queen B”.
