Betty Higgins-Galvin (née O'Brien)
Ballyknock, Ballynoe, Co. Cork.
Betty passed away peacefully after a short illness surrounded by her loving family in the exceptional care of the staff at Marymount University Hospital and Hospice.
Wife of the late Denis Higgins, daughter of the late Tom and Elizabeth (O’Brien) and sister of the late Fr. John.
Beloved wife of Denis (Galvin) cherished mother of Padraig, Lisa (Geaney) and John (Higgins), dear sister of Mary (Cahill), Geraldine (Twomey) and Tom, adored grandmother of Ella, Lucy, Grace, Ronan, Abigail, Meabh, Emily and Ava. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, family, son-in-law James, daughters-in-law Anne Marie and Shelly, the Galvin family Bartley, Ronan, Denise (Tracey) and Gillian, the extended Galvin family spouses and their children, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, neighbours and many friends.
Rest in peace.
Betty will repose at Ronayne’s Funeral Home Fermoy Monday from 5.30.pm. until 7.00.pm. followed by removal to St. Catherine’s Church Ballynoe. Requiem Mass Tuesday at 12 noon burial afterwards in Conna cemetery.
Denis, Padraig, Lisa, John and their families wish to extend a sincere thank you to all the staff of the Bon Secours Hospital for the exceptional care given to Betty and Denis, and the dignified care given to Betty at Marymount Hospice and the wonderful support shown to us her family, your efforts are greatly appreciated and will long be remembered.
