It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our wonderful mother Betty (Mary Elizabeth) Kelly (née Killian) Newtown Lawns, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath formerly of Tulsk, Co. Roscommon and Killashee Co. Longford.

Peacefully on the 25th of August 2023 at the Midland Regional Hospital Mullingar.

Predeceased by her husband James, infant children Cormac, Marie and Therese, her sister Rose, brothers Tommy, P.J, Eamon and Jerry, and her close sisters-in-law Carmel and Marie Kelly.

Betty will be very sadly missed by her daughter Joanne, son George, son-in-law Adrian Brennan, her sisters; Una (Coughlan) and Margaret (Casey), her brother Jack, her sisters-in-law May, Rita, Josephine, Victoria (Killian), Carmel (Kelly) , nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends.

May her kind and gentle soul rest in peace

Vigil Prayers will be held at the Cathedral of Christ the King, Mullingar at 6:00pm Sunday the 27th of August and can be viewed online by clicking the webstream link below.

Mass of the Resurrection at the Church of Saints Eithne and Fidelma, Tulsk at 12:00 noon on Monday the 28th of August. Followed by interment in Tulsk Cemetery.
