Betty O'Brien
(née Phelan)

Formerly of Dunbrin, Barrowhouse, Co. Laois. Predeceased by her parents, husband Phil and brother Michael. Betty died on Thursday 5th March, 2026 in the care of Farnogue Nursing Home, Wexford, surrounded by her loving family.

Much loved mother to Anne, John, Helen and Niall. Deeply regretted by her family, sons-in-law John and Tom and daughters-in-law Dolores and Mary. Sadly missed by her loving grandchildren Aisling, Luke, Jack, Lucy and Jane , nieces and nephews Tom, Kevin, Seamus and Maggie, extended family and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at her home, Barkersford, Athy (R14 VX51) on Friday afternoon (March 6th) from 2pm until the conclusion of the Rosary at 7pm. Removal on Saturday morning (March 7th) to arrive at St. Michael's Parish Church, Athy for Requiem Mass at 11am, see livestream link http://www.parishofathy.ie. Burial afterwards in St. Michael's Old Cemetery, Athy.
