Howth, Dublin

The death has occurred of Betty Sewell, Howth, Dublin 13.  Betty Sewell died peacefully on 3rd April 2023 surrounded by her devoted husband, beloved sons, parents and siblings in the tender loving care of the staff of the Bon Secours Hospital, Glasnevin. 

 

The family wishes to acknowledge the amazing support of Professor Breathnach, Dr. Cronin, the Bon Secours Oncology Team and the air ambulance crew who assisted in bringing her home to Dublin for her final days. Her illness was borne with great bravery and dignity – she was an inspiration to us all.

 

Betty will be sadly missed by her heartbroken husband Warick and her wonderful sons Colm, Matthew and Darragh – Warick was her soul mate and as a couple they were inseparable, her sons completed her and she was so proud of them, to the boys she was their ultimate hero.  She will also be deeply missed by her devoted parents Nicky and Monica McLoughlin, siblings Joan, Kevin, Martin, Olive, Louise and Nicola, her son Matthew’s partner Sophie, her sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, wide circle of friends and all present and past staff and pupils of St. Vincent’s Boys National School Glasnevin.

 

Betty touched so many lives and always brought great joy, may her beautiful soul rest in peace in the loving arms of our Lord until we all meet again.

 

Reposing in Frank Jennings Funeral Home, Greendale Road, Kilbarrack, Dublin 5 Eircode D05KP80, Wednesday, 5th April, from 5pm to 7pm.  Removal Thursday, 6th April, to the Church of the Assumption, Howth arriving for 12 noon Funeral Mass
