Bill (Willie) Cashin

On April 11th, 2026, BILL (WILLIE) (formerly of Coolnakilla, Rathcormac and more recently of Letterlickey, Bantry) passed away peacefully but unexpectedly on his 83rd birthday at his late sister’s residence in Bantry. Beloved son of the late Eugene and Margaret Cashin, dear brother of the late Den and Mary Murnane (Letterlickey, Bantry) and brother-in-law of the late Bob Murnane.

Much loved uncle of Kathleen, Margaret, Paudie, Eugene, Brian and Fiona; uncle-in-law of Brendan, Jerome, Elaine, Angela, Niamh and Richard; granduncle of David, Mark, Edel, Robbie, Donncha, Meabh, Nell, Lucy, Eve, Faye, Stephen, Joe, Siobhan, Ryan, Keelan, Bobby, Rory, Richie, Millie, Fiadh, Jack and Ollie.

Sadly missed by his loving nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, relatives, his very kind carer and dear friend, Cathy O’ Callaghan, relatives, kind neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Coakley's Funeral Home, Chapel St, Bantry P75 YW58 on Tuesday April 14th from 7pm to 8.30pm with vigil prayers at 8.30pm.

Reposing at Ronayne's Funeral Home, Fermoy P61WT21 on Wednesday April 15th from 6.00.pm until 7.00.pm, followed by reception and prayers at 7.30.pm in the Church of the Immaculate Conception Rathcormac.

Requiem Mass Thursday April 16th at 12 noon in the Church of the Immaculate Conception Rathcormac and burial afterwards in the Abbey Cemetery, Bantry.
