Billy Fitzsimons

On 16th October 2025, peacefully in the Mater Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Billy, beloved husband of Deirdre, much loved father of Shane and Sinéad. Pre-deceased by his parents Elizabeth and James, and his brother Jim. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by wife and children, brother John, daughter-in-law Avril, son-in-law Kevin, grandchildren Finn, Ayda-Mai, Cian, Logan, Isabelle, sisters-in-law Una, Sheila, Mary, Geraldine, Terri and Ursula, brothers-in-law Sean, Eamonn and John, nieces, nephews, extended family and a wide circle of friends.

A special word of thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Mater Hospital for the exceptional care and attention they’ve shown to Billy.

Reposing in the Seafield Chapel at the Fanagan Kirwan Funeral Home, Fairview Strand on Sunday (19th October) from 3pm until 5pm. Funeral on Monday (20th October) to the Church of the Visitation, Fairview, arriving for 10am Requiem Mass. Committal Services afterwards in the Seafield Chapel at the Fanagan Kirwan Funeral Home, Fairview Strand. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired to the Irish Cancer Society.
