Billy O'Grady

Billy,

passed away peacefully in Cork University Hospital on August 20th 2025,

surrounded by his loving family following a road traffic accident.

Nephew of the late Kenneth Butler.

Billy was a cherished son of Caroline and John and a loving brother to Jordan, Ollie and Kelly.

He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his heart broken parents, brothers and sister, his grandparents Frankie and Reenie Butler, uncles; Jerry, Daniel, James, Keith and Nathan, niece Ava, his partner Chloe, Jordan's partner Laura, gran uncles, gran aunts, extended family, relatives, kind neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Billy will repose at his family home, Pitch View, Shanballymore P51NH92.

Rosary will take place at 9pm on Friday night, August 22nd 2025.

On Saturday, August 23rd Billy will repose from 4pm to 8pm followed by prayers.

Billy will be received into the Christ the King Church Shanballymore for his Funeral Mass at 12.30pm on Sunday, August 24th 2025 after which he will be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery.

The O'Grady family would like to extend a special word of thanks to all those that helped and supported both Billy and his family on Wednesday, the First Responders and Ambulance crew, the Fire Brigade, An Garda Síochána in particular Guard Vincent Geurin and Guard Eric Stafford, the doctors, nurses and staff of A&E and ICU in Cork University Hospital.

The support, compassion and empathy shown to the family was greatly appreciated.
