The death has occurred of
Bo Gunnar ALMQVIST
Originally from Alster, Sweden. Professor Emeritus of Irish Folklore, University College Dublin. In Loughlinstown Hospital after a short illness borne with characteristic courage. Deeply missed by his beloved wife Éilís, his adored children Marja, Ragnar and Olaf, dear sister Vera, grandchildren, Hannah, Donagh and Tomás, son-in-law Christopher, daughters-in-law Ailbhe and Nadezhda, many relatives and wide circle of friends in Ireland, Iceland, Sweden, Shetland and elsewhere.
Reposing at home on Friday, 15th November, 7pm to 10pm. Funeral Service at the Church of Our Lady of Wisdom, Belfield, at 11am on Saturday, 16th November, followed by funeral to Mount Jerome Crematorium. No flowers please. Donations if wished to Bray Cancer Support Group.
He was our star of knowledge in the morning, and the dew of the afternoon.
