Br. Desmond Young

Young, Desmond, (Christian Brothers, Artane, Dublin), passed away peacefully at the Bon Secours Hospital in Glasnevin, on Saturday November 25th. Beloved son of the late Charles and Agnes Young, John Street, Omagh. He is sadly missed by his sister Marie, brothers Kieran, Seán and Vincent, brother-in-law Saville, sisters-in-law, Imelda, Kathleen and Caroline, nieces, nephews, as well as the large number of Christian Brothers across Ireland and beyond. He taught in schools in Derry, Newry, Belfast and Armagh.

Reposing at the Kirwan Funeral Home, Fairview Strand on Thursday (30th, November) from 3pm to 5pm. Requiem Mass on Friday (1st, December) at 10am at St. John Vianney Church, Ardlea Road, Beaumont, Dublin 5, with burial afterwards at the Christian Brothers’ Cemetery, Marino, Griffith Avenue.
