Breda Rooney (née Higgins) of Sleaty Cross, Graiguecullen, Carlow and formerly of Riverstown, Co. Sligo, passed away unexpectedly, on

August 12th, 2024, at her home.

Beloved mother of Natasha and Mark, adored grandmother of Dylan, Ethan and Seren and cherished sister of Joe and the late Maureen.

Breda will be sadly missed by her loving son, daughter and their father Bill, grandchildren, son-in-law Mathew, Mark’s fiancée Laura, brother, sister-in-law Rita, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

May Breda’s Gentle Soul Rest in Peace

Reposing at Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Shamrock Sq, Carlow on Sunday, August 18th, from 5pm, concluding with Prayers at 7pm that evening. Removal from there on Monday, to The Cathedral of the Assumption, Carlow arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am.

A Private cremation will take place at a later date.
