The death has occurred of Breega (Breda) Hickey (née Howard) Rathfarnham, Dublin / Kanturk Co.Cork

 

It is with our deepest sorrow that we inform you of the passing of Breega, beloved wife of John, mother of Susanne and Elaine.

 

In the late hours of December 3rd, 2025, Breega died peacefully surrounded by her loving family in Tallaght Hospital. Pre-deceased by her parents, John and Mary.

 

Breega will be deeply missed by her beloved husband, John, her loving daughters, Susanne and Elaine, much loved sons-in-law, Des and Stephen, her adoring 7 grandchildren: Sadie, Willow, Matthew, Noah, Hugo, Fred and Hannah, her sisters, Alice and Marie, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and many dear friends.

Massive thanks and gratitude to her carers who provided her with love, care and attention over the past 3 years.

 

Reposing at Fanagans Funeral Home, Willbrook Road, Rathfarnham on Saturday (6th December 2025) from 2.00pm to 4.00pm. Removal Monday morning to the Church of the Annunciation, Rathfarnham to arrive for 10.00am Funeral Mass followed by burial at Kilmashogue Cemetery.

 

Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association (IMNDA) would be appreciated.
