CORLESS (née Huban) Breege. Kilbeacanty, Gort, Co. Galway / Druminalough, Peterswell and late of Doorus, Kinvara, Co. Galway. Suddenly but peacefully, in the tender care of the staff of the Corrib Ward, University Hospital Galway, surrounded by her loving family, on the 24th of February, 2026.

Pre-deceased by her parents Paddy and Delia Huban, by her brothers Willie & Padraic, by other much loved family members and many friends.

Breege will forever be in the hearts of her heartbroken family. Cherished and much loved wife and best friend of Christy and adored mother of Colm and Kenneth. Fondly remembered by her daughters-in-law Anne and Caroline and a special grandmother to Nathan, Jamie, Ollie, Millie and Charlie. Sadly missed by her loving sisters Mamie (U.S.A), twin sister Agatha (U.S.A), by her brother Tom (Derrydonnell), brothers-in-law John Ryan and Noel Corless, sister-in-law Maura Huban, nephews, nieces, cousins, lovely neighbours, many loyal friends and by the extended Corless and Huban families.

May Her Kind Elegant And Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.

Breege will lie in repose in Monahan’s Funeral Home Labane, Ardrahan (H91E793) on Thursday evening, February 26th, from 6pm until 8pm. Private removal on Friday, February 27th, with the funeral cortége arriving at St. Columba’s Church Kilbeacanty for Requiem Mass at 2pm. Breege will be laid to rest afterwards in Kilbeacanty old cemetery. House private please. The funeral mass will not be live-streamed.

Breege’s family deeply appreciate your kindness, love and support at this time. We thank all who cared for Breege over the years especially all the staff at Gort Family Practice, Gilmartins Pharmacy and her devoted carer’s Hillary C, Vivienne and Hillary S. Finally, a special word of thanks to our wonderful family, neighbours and friends for all they have done for us over these difficult days.
