The death has occurred of
Brendan Collins
On February 1st, 2025, BRENDAN (ex: ESB), passed peacefully away after a short illness in the loving care of the staff of St Joseph’s Unit, Bantry General Hospital. Beloved brother of Dympna Collins (Cobh), Patty Browne (Castlehaven), the late Teddy (London), Maudie Cadogan (Cork), Sheila Ronan (Cobh) and Catherine (Bobbi) Gahan (Ballincollig). Sadly missed by his loving sisters, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, relatives and many treasured friends.
May he rest in peace.
Brendan’s family would like to thank the staff of St Joseph’s Unit and Bantry General Hospital for the great care and kindness shown to him over the last few years it is very much appreciated by all. We would also like to thank all the carers who looked after Brendan in Scart Road over the years.
Reposing at Coakley’s Funeral Home, Chapel Street, Bantry on Sunday Feb. 2nd from 5.30pm to 7pm with vigil prayers at 7pm. Requiem Mass on Monday Feb. 3rd at 12noon at St Finbarr’s Church, Bantry (to view live stream please click here) followed by burial in the Abbey Cemetery, Bantry. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu if desired to St. Joseph’s Unit, Bantry General Hospital.
