Brendan Forde

Formerly of Cordarragh, Kiltimagh, Co. Mayo

Brendan died after a short illness bravely fought and surrounded by his family on Saturday, 20 April, 2024. He passed away following wonderful care by the staff of University Hospital Galway and at the Galway Hospice.

 

Pre-deceased by his parents John and Annie and by his siblings Imelda, Dermot, Raymond, Cyril, Kieran and Enda and also by his niece Audrey and nephew Eanna.

 

Much loved husband of Angela, father of Marion, John, Breda and Elaine, grandfather of Cian, Seán, Alana, Ruaidhrí, Donagh, Iarla, Síomha, Lachlan, Robyn, Zachary, Ruthie, Harriet and Ted, brother of Vincent, Ethel, Agnes and Dympna and father-in-law of Nessa, Antoine, Ruaidhrí and Art. Deeply loved and mourned by his wife, son and daughters and their families by his brother and sisters, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cherished nieces and nephews, the extended Forde and Coyne family, many neighbours and friends. Fondly remembered and sadly missed by all.

 

Reposing at the family home, ‘Camelot’, Threadneedle Road, Salthill, Galway on this Wednesday, 24 April, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Removal to the Church of Christ the King, Salthill on Thursday morning, 25 April, to arrive in advance of Requiem Mass therein at 11 a.m. Following Mass, Brendan will be laid to rest in the new cemetery, Bohermore.
