It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Brendan Fortune on November 5, 2025 in Toronto, Canada (Formerly of Bray, Co. Wicklow, Ireland), after a long, valiantly fought illness.
Predeceased by his parents Leo and Clare (Nee Murphy), baby Emmet, his sister-in-law Miriam Hanlon and his grandniece and grandnephew, Annabel and Felix Hellriegel.
Much loved by his wife Jennifer, beloved father to Conor and daughter in law Pamela. Will be sorely missed by his siblings in Ireland, New Zealand and Poland, Dolores Fortune, Valerie (Michael Hannon), Bernice Fortune-Eustace (Joseph Eustace), Leo Fortune (Gabriel), Declan Fortune (Beata Beirnacka-Fortune) and his-in laws in Ireland and Belgium, Adrienne Healy (Gerry), Jacki Hanlon (Kevin Mulligan), Siobhan Hanlon, Andrew Hanlon (Sorcha Duggan), p Denise Hanlon, nieces and nephews, friends and colleagues at TD Bank.
A visitation will be held at Humphrey Funeral Home A.W. Miles – Newbigging Chapel, 1403 Bayview (south of Davisville), Toronto, on Thursday, November 13th from 6:00 - 8.00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place at St Johns Parish, 786 Kingston Road, Toronto, on Friday, November 14th at 10.00 a.m. Interment at Mount Hope Catholic cemetery 305 Erskine Avenue, Toronto. Reception to follow at the Humphrey funeral home following the burial. All are welcome. Condolences may be forwarded to www.humphreymiles.com.
