The death has occurred of Brendan McQuaid – Ashe Road, Mullingar, Co Westmeath and formerly of Emyvale, Co Monaghan – August 8, 2025 (peacefully) in the tender care of the staff at Portiuncula Nursing Home Multyfarnham.

Predeceased by his parents John and Margaret, brother James, sisters Patricia and Verona and twin brother Sean (recently deceased).

Beloved husband of Mary and dear father of John, Brendan, Roger, Jill and Verona; Brendan will be very sadly missed and forever remembered by his wife and family, his much loved grandchildren Tom, Johnny & Amy and David (McNamee) ; Gisele and Evelyn; Hannah, Eva and Grace; Cathal and Shane; daughters-in-law Alison, Sara and Monica, son-in-law Eamon, sister Monica (Gaynor), brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.


MAY BRENDAN REST IN PEACE

Reposing at Gilsenans Funeral Home on Sunday from 4.30 pm concluding with prayers at 6 pm.

Funeral Mass in the Cathedral of Christ the King on Monday at 11 am and the Mass may be viewed on the live webcam below. Burial will take place afterwards in Ballyglass Cemetery.
