The death has occurred of
Brendan O'BRIEN
Brendan O’Brien (former ESB Portlaoise and Irish Sugar) of Lower Staplestown Road, Carlow, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving nephews and nieces on December 8th, 2025 under the loving care of the nurses and staff of Hillview Nursing Home, Tullow Rd., Carlow
Beloved son of the late William and Alice and much loved brother of the late Bill, Tom, Paddy, Joe, Bernard, Annie, Rose, Maureen and Patricia.
He will be sadly missed by his loving nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Shamrock Sq, Carlow (Eircode R93 C863) Carlow from 3pm on Wednesday, December 10th, with removal from there that evening at 5.45pm to The Cathedral of the Assumption, Carlow arriving for Prayers at 6pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday at 10am followed by burial afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Carlow.
