Brendan O'Leary

Killarney Heights, Bray, Wicklow / Tralee, Kerry

Brendan O’Leary of Killarney Heights, Bray, Co. Wicklow and formerly of Tralee, Co. Kerry, died peacefully on 20th June, 2024, after a long illness, bravely borne, in St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin, with his devoted wife Anna-Marie (Anne) by his side. Remembered with love by his wife, daughters Niamh (Walsh), Ciara (Earls) and Áine (Ryan) and son Kevin, sons-in-law Mark, Simon and Aaron, grandchildren Cathal, Éibhín, Róisín, Fiona, Saoirse, Clodagh and Donnacha, sister Mary, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and by his many nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends. Predeceased by his brother Billy, sister Joan Maye and nephews Finbarr Maye and Aidan Walsh.

 

The family would like to express their appreciation and gratitude to Prof. John Crown, doctors, nurses and all the staff on the Cara ward, St. Vincent’s Private Hospital and the A&E department in St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin, the doctors and staff of Boghall Medical Centre and the staff of Bray Home Care Services.

 

Reposing in Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray on Sunday (23rd June) from 3.00pm-5.00pm, with prayers at 4.45pm. Funeral Mass on Monday (24th June) at 11.00am in St. Fergal’s Church, Boghall Road, Bray followed by burial in St. Mochonog’s Cemetery, Kilmacanogue. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to the Irish Cancer Society or Purple House Cancer Support Centre Bray.
