The Carnival is Over for Brendan Sweeney

Despite his best wishes, Brendan did not go out roaring like Mc Cabes Bull but passed peacefully, surrounded by love, in the excellent care of St. James’s Hospital, Dublin on St. Stephen's Day.

Brendan will be fiercely missed by his beloved wife Joan, his children Jane, Luke, and Grace, his sister Treasa, and his cherished grandchildren Annie, Ellen, Lola, Ieuan, Lucy and Sadie and great-grandchildren Beth and James. His children-in-law, Bren and Eva, will also miss his wit, warmth and wisdom.

In line with Brendan’s wishes, a private cremation has taken place. To celebrate Brendan’s life, his love of fun, and the endless craic he brought to those lucky enough to know him, a day of memories and laughter will be held in The Two Sisters, Wainsfort, Terenure on Saturday, 25th January, at 1:30 PM.

Raise a glass, share a laugh, and remember a man who embodied the spirit of life.
