MOONEY (Cork) On 30th September 2024, peacefully in the tender care of the staff of Cork University Hospital and in the presence of his loving family, BRIAN, Barry’s Place, Off Cathedral Road and late of Dunlops, O’Sullivan Bros., P.J. Hegarty and Cork Airport. Beloved husband of Eleanor (née O’Callaghan), much loved father of Keith, Alan, Richard and Elaine, loving grandfather of Daniel, Sarah, Sophia, Katelyn, Joshua and Izabella, beloved son of the late Paddy and Joyce Mooney of Ballintemple, dear brother of Joan Fitzgerald, Patricia Manning and the late Ray.

Sadly missed by his heartbroken wife, family, grandchildren, brothers-in-law Barry Fitzgerald and Patrick Manning, daughters-in-law Stephanie, Laura and Aoife, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Coughlan’s Funeral Home, Shandon Street on Wednesday (2nd October) from 3.00pm, family in attendance from 6.00pm with Rosary Prayers at 7.00pm. Requiem Mass on Thursday (3rd October) in St. Joseph’s SMA Church, Blackrock at 10.00am. Funeral afterwards to The Island Crematorium, Rocky Island, Ringaskiddy. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu, if desired, to the CUH Charity.
