Brian Stuart Troy

The death has occurred of Brian Stuart Troy, Sydney, N.S.W.

 

Brian passed away on the 6th January 2026 in Sydney.

 

Labour Councillor for the City of Botany Bay for 29 years and Botany SES Controller (State Emergency Services) for 12 years.

 

Predeceased by his parents John and Bridget (nee McNamara, formerly of Glendree, Feakle).

 

Brian is survived by his loving family, son Brian, daughter in law Renae, his grandson Sean & his wife Soteria, granddaughter Tiare & her partner Michael and great grandson Noah.

 

Sadly missed by his sister Eileen and brother in law Brendan Ryan (Larchill, Ennis), his nephews John, Brendan & Nicholas, niece Aisling and great niece Layla.

 

Brian has donated his body to science.

 

Mass has been offered for the repose of his soul in The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Barefield on the 18th January.

 

A memorial will be held at a later date in Sydney.
