The death has occurred of Bridget (Babbie) Smith, Canningstown, Cootehill, Co.Cavan. Died Tuesday 13th January 2026, peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband Bennie and her parents Thomas and Katie Brady.

Deeply regretted and lovingly missed by her heartbroken family son Noel (Sophia), daughters Carmel (Terence), Majella (Andy), Mairéad (Ciarán) and Collette (Larry) . Sadly missed by her brother Tony and her adored grandchildren Patrick, Gráinne, Niamh, Amie, Ben, Ellen, Micheál, James, Leah, Shane, Cáit, Luke, Abby, Finn and Ally, extended family and many good neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Clarke's Funeral home Bailieborough this Tuesday evening 13th January from 5pm-8.30pm. Bridget will repose at her home (H16WC78) tomorrow evening Wednesday from 5pm-8pm. Removal from her residence Thursday morning 15th January, arriving at St. Bridget's Church Knockbride West (A82W271) for Funeral Mass at 12 Noon followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
